Nitrogen is gaseous in our atmosphere, can be liquified very easily for all sorts of cryogenic purposes - and exists naturally as a solid on the surface of Pluto. Solid nitrogen is used in a few situations here on Earth too - I’m told it’s useful for preserving human tissue samples, for example, because it freezes things much more rapidly than liquid nitrogen.
