Here’s an example.

A=The set of all sheep called Dolly

B=The set of all triangles with an area less than 5

There are no triangular sheep, so the two sets have no elements in common.

Another example is the set B above and the set

C=The set of all triangles having an area greater than 5.

B and C are disjoint sets even though they have the same kind of elements but they still have no elements in common because the area of a triangle can’t be both smaller than 5 and greater than 5.
