The process in which an egg develops into an individual without being fertilized is called as Parthenogenesis.

It is a form of asexual reproduction. It occurs in invertebrates such as ants, bees, and wasps.

Here in the process of parthenogenesis, haploid males (drones) are produced.

The diploid females (workers and queens) are the result of a fertilized egg.
