Yes, the above statement is completely true that the production is an asset for the economy rather than a liability. as we all know that the production contribute to the economy which help to increase the economy of the country and hence it is a assets for the country's economy.
for example if the government open the new industry which produces cotton then that cotton industry help the people to get employment and the unemployed people get the jobs and they can able to run their family expenditure and also we can export that cotton to the other countries which can help to increase our economy and so the people who sits in their home now,they got the employment and they turn from liability to assest for country's economy.
