An example of the given situation is as follows-

A train/ metro that starts from rest gradually picks up speed and starts accelerating. At this stage, the speed increases but after sometime, the train acquires a constant speed( runs at a uniform speed). On approaching the next station, the train starts slowing down in order to halt( speed decreases).

Answer :

Any vehicle when starts its speed is equal to 0. With the increase in time, its speed increases and after some time it acquires a uniform speed. For that time, we can say that the object is moving uniformly. When the person who is driving the vehicle, reaches the destination, has to decrease its speed.

There are some other example i.e. launching a satellite, motion of ball etc.
