In an earlier chapter, we described the development of the atomic mass unit, the concept of average atomic masses, and the use of chemical formulas to represent the elemental makeup of substances. These ideas can be extended to calculate the formula mass of a substance by summing the average atomic masses of all the atoms represented in the substance’s formula.

Hey mate !!

ゝMole (Stoichiometry - 1):-

A mole of a Substance is that amount of the substance which contains the same number of entities as there are atoms exactly 12 gram of pure Carbon-12.

Note :- 12 gm of carbon of contain :--

6.022 \times {10}^{23}  \:  \: particles

And this no. is also called Avogadro No. and it is denoted by NA

ゝIn terms of Mass :--

1 Mole of a Substance is the quantity of that substance equal to its molecular mass expressed in grams.

1 Mol of Oxygen molecule = 32g

Molecular Mass of Oxygen is 32u [u=atomic mass unit (amu)].

ゝMolar Mass :---

It is only the mass but in grams of One mole of substance (1 Mole = NA)

For eg :- Molar Mass of CO2 is 44 g/mol.

then you may be asked that :--

How many molecules are present in the specific mass of a substance?

The Your answer should be like this :--

no.\:of\:moles \:=

 \frac{mass \: of \: the \:substance}{molecular \: mass \: of \: that \: substance}

______♡Hope it will Help You :)
