1. HI reacts with methyl-cyclohexene to give cyclohexene and methyl iodide because I- ion prefers to combine with the smaller group in order to minimise the steric hindrance.

2. Cyclohexene on reaction with bromine gas in the presence of UV light give 3-bromocyclohexene and not 4-bromocyclohexene. It is free radical substitution reaction and in this reaction allylic free radical is formed which is stabilized by resonance.
