Saturated hydrocarbons are the compounds containing only single covalent bonds. These are also known as alkanes.Hydrocarbons with triple bonds between carbon atoms are known as alkynes. These compounds have more number of hydrogen atoms when compared to its corresponding unsaturated hydrocarbons.

Hope it helps you :)

Saturated compounds are stable than unsaturated compounds. The main difference between saturated and unsaturated compounds is that saturated compounds have only carbon-carbon single bonds whereas unsaturated have carbon-carbon double bonds and triple bonds.

saturated hydrocarbons in which all hydrogen atoms and carbon atoms are bonded together with single bonds, unsaturated hydrocarbons have double or even triple bonds between the carbon atoms. ... Alkenes - These unsaturated hydrocarbons are molecules that contain at least one carbon-to-carbon double bond.
