The following are the two examples of turgor changes in plants:

1. In Mimosa pudica, a sentient plant, the inducement of touch directs to the failure of turgor at the bottom of the leaf and at the corner of the petioles known as pulvinus. This prompts the folding and drooping of leaflets of the plant.

2. The leaves of insectivorous flowers near to ambush an active prey. When the pest comes in connection with the leaflet, it wastes its turgor, consequently, it leads to the closing of the leaf of the plant.
