The capacity of a cuboidal tank is 50000 litres. Find the surface area of the tank if its length and depth are 2.5m and 10m respectively.

The volume of the cuboidal tank = 50,000 litre or 50 m^3

lbh units = 50 m ^3

2.5 × b × 10 = 50

b = 50 / 25

b = 2 metre

Now finding the surface area

I.e. 2 ( lb+ bh + hl )

2 ( 2.5×2 + 2×10 + 10×2.5 )

2 ( 5 + 20 + 25 )

2 × 50

= 100 m ^2
