Given:-

  • AB = DC and \rm\angle{ABD} = \angle{CBD}}

To Find:-

  • The Congurence rule would be applied to Prove ∆ABD ≈ ∆CDB.

Congruency rule used:-

  • S- A - S = Side angle Side

  • A - A - S = Angle Angle Side.

Now,

In ∆ADB & ∆CBD.

AB = DC ( Given)

\rm{\angle{ABD} = \angle{CDB}}(Given).

\rm{\angle{CBD} = \angle{ADB}}(Alternate interior angle).

So,

ADB CDB by A - A - S criteria.

Alternate Method

In ∆ADB & ∆CBD.

AB = DC ( Given)

\rm{\angle{ABD} = \angle{CDB}}(Given).

BD = DB (Common sides).

Hence, ∆ADB ≈ ∆CBD Congurent by S - A - S Criteria
