Himalayan rivers are fed by glaciers and are perennial that is ever flowing .they are wider and deeper and longer.whereas the peninsular rivers are rain fed and emerge from the plateaus.they are much shorter compared to Himalayan rivers and are non perennial that they can dry sometimes
