natural selection
natural selection is the process of evolution of a species whereby characteristics which help individual organisms to survive and reproduce are passed on to their offspring , and those characteristic which do not help are not passed on .
e.g. to illustrate darwin's theory of evolution .
artificial selection
wild cabbage as a food plant for over two thousand years and have evolved entirely different looking vegetables like cabbage , broccoli , cauliflower , kohlrabi the kale from it by artificial selection .
