autotrophic =food is synthesised from carbon dioxide and water...

green pigment is necessary ...

food is prepared during day time...

most of the plants and bacteria have this type of nutrients...

heterotrophic =directly food is obtained from autotrophic and broken down with the help of enzyme..

green pigment is not necessary..

food is prepared all time ...

most of animals and fungi have this type of nutrition...

the components that make their own food is known as autotrophic nutrition while it traffic nutrition means the components that depends on on another for therefore the autotrophic nutrition do not have Types but the heterotrophic nutrition has many types

1. parasitic plant it the plants which live on host for their nutrients are known as parasitic plants

2. saprophytic plants the plants which live on the Dead on dead and decaying matter of plants are known as saprophytic plants

3. insectivorous plants those plants which depend on insect for their food are known as insectivorous plants for example Venus flytrap

4. symbiotic plants the plants which live in Association with others species and share their food resources are known as symbiotic plants
