Give example force can change the state of motion

1. kicking a ball

the ball was in rest which is a state of motion. when i applied a force it started moving.

2 . catching a ball

The ball was moving and when I caught the ball. I applied a opposite force and the ball stoped. Thus I changed the state of motion from moving to rest
