When we play carrom board we strike the coins of carrom board and it moves from one place to another but some energy is lost by friction which is present between the surface of coin and the carrom board .This leads to energy wastage .To overcome this problem we sprinkle some amount of powder on the surface of carrom board because this reduces the friction and saves our energy .
