Newton's second law of motion states that
An object will produce acceleration when an external force is applied on it. The higher the mass of an object the higher amount of force will be needed.
For example:
If you push a truck and a car with equal amount of forces, the car will produce more acceleration than a truck as the mass of car is less than a truck.
and lesser amount of force is required to stop a car as compared to truck because of its mass.
