Godavai-The Ganga of the South is one of the east flowing rivers of the Peninsular India while as Narmada river is one of the west flowing rivers of Peninsular India.
The two differences between the Godavari and Narmada are :
1. Godavari drains itself in the Bay of Bengal while as Narmada drains in the Arabian sea.
2. Godavari make delta at its mouth while as Narmada enter the sea through estuaries.
