The Jaunpur sultanate was an independent kingdom of northern part of India. It was mainly ruled by the Sharqui dynasty and the first ruler of the dynasty was a wazir.
Ibrahim Shah and Mubarak Shah were two of the most important proponents of this dynasty.
Mahmud Shah and Husain Shah were also important rulers here, and they invented multiple instruments in their kingdom, invited guests who were musicians and music experts and they also patronized singers.
