Parallelogram:
(i) A diagonal of a parallelogram, divides it into two congruent triangles.
(ii) In a parallelogram, opposite sides are equal.
(iii) In a parallelogram, opposite angles are equal.
(iv) The diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other.

Rectangle:
(i) A diagonal of a rectangle, divides it into two congruent triangles.
(ii) In a rectangle, opposite sides are equal.
(iii) In a rectangle, all angles are equal, each having a measure of 90°
(iv) The diagonals of a rectangle are equal and bisect each other.

Rhombus:
(i) A diagonal of a rhombus, divides it into two congruent triangles.
(ii) In a rhombus, all sides are equal.
(iii) In a rhombus, opposite angles are equal.
(iv) The diagonals of a rhombus bisect each other at 90°.

Trapezium:
(i) In a trapezium, two opposite sides are parallel and two opposite sides are not parallel.
(ii) If two non-parallel sides of a trapezium are equal, then it is called an isosceles trapezium.
(iii) Sum of all angles of a trapezium add up to 360°.

Kite:
(i) In a kite, two pairs of adjacent sides are equal
(iii) Sum of all angles of a kite add up to 360°.

Quadrilateral:
(i) A plane figure bounded by four sides is called a quadrilateral.
(ii) Sum of the angles of a quadrilateral is 360°

NOTE:
1. A square, rectangle and rhombus are all parallelograms.
2. A square is a rectangle and also a rhombus, but a rectangle or a rhombus is not a square.
3. A parallelogram is a trapezium, but a trapezium is not a parallelogram.
4. A kite is not a parallelogram.
