IF TEN- 72 And MEN-65 then HAT--??

the logic behind the answer is that the position of the letters matter.

Right answer is :- 62, because;

In ten, t' comes on 20th place in english alphabet, 'e' comes on 5th place and 'n' comes on 14th place,

so; 20+ 5 +14 =39

Add 33 to it: 39 +33 =72

so, TEN 72

Similarly MEN 13+ 5+ 14 =32

Then HAT

HAT 8+1+ 20 =29

32+ 33= 65

The HAT, HAT 8+ 1+20 =29

29 +33= 62

So, HAT 62

So,

Alphabetical place of TEN as in numbers :

T = 20

E = 5

N = 14

∴ TEN = (20 x 1) + (5 x 2) + (14 x 3) = 71

Alphabetical place of MEN as in numbers :

M = 13

E = 5

N = 14

∴ MEN = (13 x 1) + (5 x 2) + (14 x 3) = 65

In the same way, alphabetical place of HAT as in numbers :

H = 8

A = 1

T = 20

∴ HAT = (8 x 1) + (1 x 2) + (20 x 3) = 70
