i) steam causes much severe burns then hot water because all the heat energy is mostly transferred to vapor so its more hot then water
ii) a wooden table should be called solid as it have a definite mass
iii) gas don't have a definite shape and also don't have too much force of attraction between particles so all gas atoms just spread out filling the vessel completely
iv) boiling means giving heat energy and evaporation means turning of liqiud into gaseous state
v) the two factors affecting rate of evoparation are -
a) heat energy provided
b) boiling point of solution

There are certain factors which affect the rate of evaporation-
1. Temperature - As the temperature increases, evaporation also increases. Therefore, evaporation is directly proportional to temperature
2. Surface Area - As the surface area increases, evaporation also increases. Therefore, evaporation is directly proportional to surface area.
3. Humidity - As the humidity increases, evaporation decreases. Therefore, humidity is inversely proportional to evaporation.
4. Wind Speed - As wind speed increases, evaporation also increases. Therefore, evaporation is directly proportional to wind speed.
