It is a muscular organ made up of cardiac muscles.

It is triangular in shape, and lies in thorasic cavity.

Its size is like of our fist.

Internally heart is made up of four chambers. Upper Two chambers are called auricles and lower Two parts are called ventricles.

• Heart is a muscular organ. It pumps blood around the body. So, that blood can receive oxygen and food. And it removes carbon-dioxide.

• It's size is about one's fist.

• Valves are present in it which helps in flow of blood in one direction.

• It is located in the chest between the lungs behind the sternum and above the diaphragm.
