Give me resones why silver cannot displace magnesium from its salt solution.

because magnesium is more reactive than silver.

It is simple,in reactivity series silver is down than magnesium because of it is less reactive than magnesium.So we know according to displacement reaction that high reactive element displace less reactive element but here silver is less reactive so it can't displace magnesium from its solution
