It is a quality of a liquid. It determines the resistance of fluid to flow. This can be in terms of resisting an object to get inside them or resistance against different layers to be flown on them. for example viscosity of water is very less as compare to the honey. it takes time to drip and do not allow objects to get easily immersed in it
