l = 12m
b=8m
h=4m
First , whitewashing of all four walls of a room=LSA of a cuboid
LSA of a cuboid = 2h(l+b) sq . un
= 2×4(12+8) m^2
= 8(20).
=120m^2
cost of whitewashing = 120×5
= ₹ 600
Area of the ceiling of the room = area of a rectangle

Area of a rectangle = l×b sq . u
= 12×8
= 96 m ^2
Area of 4 walls + Area of the ceiling = 120 + 96m^2
=216m^2
cost of whitewashing 4 walls and ceiling =216×5= ₹ 1080
