Give me the information about the history of animal classification

There are different methods of animal classification . The first Method was introduced by Greek philosopher Aristotle . He classified the animals in criteria like body size, habbits , habitats , etc . Further as per new development in science , reference were changed and there by the criteria of animal classification too. Classification proposed by Aristotle is known as ARTIFICIAL METHOD .
