Truman's containment policy was the first major policy during the Cold War and was used in numerous strategies to present the spread of communism abroad. Historians has long debated the effectiveness of America containment, even questioning it's influence on the out come of the Cold War. That being said, this debate is completely one said ,as there is no objective evidence showing that containment was in effective. On the contrary, containment was tested and then implemented as a effective yet forceful manner, using direct tactics. The most influential of these tactics were the Marshall Plan. The Truman Doctrine, and American's Entry into the Korean War.
