Give one example each of plants having pneumatophores, climbing roots, floating roots and haustoria.

1. Pneumatophores:

They are specialized roots which grow in swampy areas which provides the roots their required air flow for respiration. They are also called respiratory roots.  

Ex: mangroove trees.

2. Climbing roots:

They are aerial roots helps the weak stemmed plants to climb with support. They produce roots from their nodes, by which they atttach themselves to some support.

Ex: Hedera helix.

 

3. Floating roots:

Aquatic plants like duckweed grow in shallow or shoreline waters.They sore air in them aand get spongy which lets them float in water.

Ex: Duckweed.

4. Haustoria:

A rootlike structure that grows around the trunk to absorb nutrients and water. It is a root of a parasitic plant which embeddes itself in the host's tissue and draws out nutrients from it. They are also called sucking roots.
