a) spongy cells

Spongy cells are part of mesophyll which allow interchange of gases needed for photosynthesis.

b) palisade cells

They are also part of mesophyll which contains cholorophyll that absorb light energy

c) Waxy layer

It is to protect the lead and prevent water loss

d) stomata

They allow plants to take in Co2 for photosynthesis.

And prevent water loss during hot and dry conditions
