it is a disorder test based on the chromosomal pattern in amniotic fluid surrounding the developing embryo it is used to detect any chromosomal defect in embryo . but now days in developing countries like India it is illegally used in sex determination if there is a girl child people used to determine it before a new born and kill her

Save girl child, don't abort them, they too are human beings belonging to the same species, equality and rights!
The above are some slogans which have been raised due to the illegal activitives and the killing of the foetus if it is girl by the gender. This is usually done as, the family only thinks that a well grown man is able to make money and earn fame and reputation whereas, for a girl, it is quite of the opposite. The family would have to hail burden by keeping a girl in their family as they always see them set off for marriage. The justice is not shown and the girl is aborted. This leads to lower literacy rates and definitely low female population, which is eventually going to effect humans itself. The immaturity and illogical thinking should be culled down and killed totally by spreading the beautiful awareness. There should be no gender discriminations and yes, eventually no feminists either, a total equal gender basis, no biased views, just perfect and equal with equal jobs, money and education and much more Privileges should be given in equal quality.
So, a remanded statutory ban and that too of a permanent one is required on amniocentesis (effect of the ban is already taking in place).
