A simple arithmetic method is presented for computing the specific gravity of a solution when concentrations and specific gravities of components are known. Compared with observed experimental determinations, this method is found to yield results generally within 5 per cent tolerance and is recommended as a practical procedure by the above faculty members of the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy
