First of all changing magnetic in other words changing flux induces emf that only produce current (faraday's law) that counter changing magnetic field according to lenz's law.

Explanation: If you gradually decreases magnetic field value change in flux takes place and emf will produce and generates countering current.

that will resist decrease in magnetic filed via another countering magnetic filed.

so as soon as you suddenly removes constant  magnetic field there will be a sudden change in flux which induces emf generates current.

e=-dΦ/dt=d(BA)/dt.
