1They are held tightly together by strong forces of attraction. They are held in fixed positions but they do vibrate. Because the particles don't move, solids have a definite shape and volume, and can't flow. Because the particles are already packed closely together, solids can't easily be compressed

2Because the water evaporates and absorb the heat from the body that cause cooling and lowering the  body temperature. that is why the doctor advices to put strips of wet cloth on the forehead of a person having fever.

3The boiling point of a liquid varies according to the applied pressure; thenormal boiling point is thetemperature at which the vapour pressure is equal to the standard sea-level atmospheric pressure (760 mm [29.92 inches] of mercury). At sea level, water boils at 100° C (212° F).

For the answers of 1 & 3. kishankumar81 gave correct answers.
But I would like to give a close insight on the 2nd topic.

when have fever, various Mico organisms attack our body to make it weak.
and our body produces white blood cells to fight the microbes.
Di you know where the white Bodies fight them? do you know why our head and the back part of our neck becomes hot?

Here is it-
the back part of our neck is the battleground. it is the place where our white blood cells fight and kill the harmful microbes. if the microbes are very strong, the white Bodies get close to them and explode (like a suicide bomber) to kill the microbes.

In the process of killing the harmful microbes, our body(back part of neck) gets hot.

So next time, if during a fever, your neck gets hot, do know that your white blood cells are fighting for you.
