Gìvè reasonś :

■ 1st ionisation energyof 5d-series elements are higher than thise of 3d nd 4d transition elements.

■ Transition metals show paramagnetism.

■ Trasition metal ions like Cu+ and Ag+ are colourless.

Explanation:

ionization energy is directly proportional to the effective nuclear charge.

so for 5d series due to lanthanoid contraction(due to poor shielding of f electrons) the nuclear charge remains much less the same, and since the 5d series has more protons in their nucleus so the attractive pull is greater as compared to 3d and 4d.

transition elements are those metals which have vacant d orbital and they have vacant d orbital they have unpaired electrons and hence show paramagnetism.

in case of cu and ag there is only one electron left unpaired, so when that is removed they become clourless.

hope this helps
