a) kinetic energy is directly proportional to mass as the mass of the horse is greater than the dog thus one of them has more kinetic energy than the other
b) work = force x displacement as the teacher is moving around in the class there is a displacement hence work done and as the child is standing and reading a book no displacement is being done hence he is not doing any work
