a) Rivers flowing over gently sloping ground begin to curve back and forth across the landscape. These are called meandering rivers. from the outer curve of each meander bend and deposit it on an inner curve further down stream.

e)Coniferous trees are more suitable for lumbering mainly due to the following reasons: Coniferous trees are mainly soft wooded trees which are comparatively easier to cut. The lack of dense undergrowth and creepers help in easily cutting these trees.
