Each state of matter has space between it . Air also being a matter has spaces between it. The particles of perfume get into the spaces between the air molecules through the process of diffusion.

Diffusion is the process by which two matter intermix on thier own.

So , the odour of perfume spreads into the room.

\tt\impliesWhen chemical substances such as perfume are let loose in a room, their particles mix with the particles of air.

\tt\impliesThe particles of smelly gas are free to move quickly in all directions.

\tt\impliesThey eventually spread through the whole room from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration.
