Cow dung yield the highest biogas with methane content of 67.9%. Cow pea yielded 56.2% methane content. The lowest methane content was produced by cassava peelings with 51.4%. A cumulative of 124.3 litres of biogas was produced at the end of the 30 days retention period from the cow dung waste.

(ii) The fuel or biogas obtained by the use of cow-dung in biogas plants does not produce any smoke on burning and does not cause air-pollution.
