⏩ 1) the packed milk is pasteurised so it don't have any micro organism present in it but fresh milk has micro organisms in it which can spoil milk. so packed milk is drunk without boiling.

2) raw vegetables and fruits are easily infected by micro organisms which can easily spoil the vegetables on the other hand jam and pickle contain preservatives which makes it difficult for organisms to spoil them.

3) farmers prefer to grow beans and peas in nitrogen deficiet soil because these plants can fix atmospheric nitrogen into soil making soil more fertile.

4) the larva of mosquitoes lives on water. if stagnant is prevented then larva will not exist.

1. Fresh milk is boiled before consumption while processed milk stored in packets can be consumed without boiling because its is pasteurized.


pasteurization - it is the process in which milk is boiled and is made chilled quickly then stored in packets. By this process, the microorganisms do not have time to grow and multiply in milk. Whereas fresh milk contains microorganisms and bacteria that may be harmful to us.


This is the reason why processed milk stored in packets can be consumed without boiling.


2. Raw vegetables and fruits are kept in refrigerators whereas jams and pickles can be kept outside because raw vegetables and fruits do not contain preservatives whereas pickles and jams contain preservatives such as oil,vinegar,salt,etc.


3. Farmers prefer to grow beans and peas in nitrogen deficient soils because in the roots of beans and peas nitrogenous fixing bacteria are present and are called rhizobium.


This bacteria converts the atmospheric nitrogen into such a form that the plants can use it in exchange of shelter and some nutrients.


This kind of relation in the nature is also called Symbioses.


4. Mosquitoes can be controlled by preventing a stagnation of water though they do

not live in water because they lay eggs in stagnant water. If we prevent stagnation of

water, the reproduction of mosquitoes reduces. Thus mosquitoes can be controlled by preventing stagnation of water.
