Give reason for the following :
(a) Silver metal doesn't combine easily with oxygen but silver jwellery tarnishes after sometime .
(b) Aluminium metal combines with oxygen but still it can be used for making kitchen utensils.

Silver combines H2S a pollutant in air to form Ag2S.
Forms an strong oxide of aluminium which prevents further corrosion, also it is light, strong, resistant to attack of organic acids, good conductor of heat
