Answer:

  • reason The force of attraction in case of solid is more then gas So, the atoms are closely packed in case of solid then gas

Example In case of ice there is a cage like structure the of hydrogen atoms are closely packed where as in vapours the atoms are not so closely packed

Answer:

Gases are much less dense than solids. The gases have a very large intermolecular spaces between its particles while solids have minimum intermolecular spaces between their particles. Also the intermolecular forces of attraction varies. In gases its much less, while in solids its very high. This makes it possible for gases to just mix with other gases easily. Also they have no fixed shape and volume whereas solids have fixed shape and volume which makes it rigid and dense. While gases are much less dense. For example diamond is a solid which has special kind os carbon bond which makes it rigid.while this is not the case with other gases.
