RAINWATER HAVESTING is a process of carefully collecting and storing rain water so thet it can be used in future or it can also be used to replenish the ground water level.

There are various types of rain water harvesting.

1.Roof-top rain water harvesting:The roof top of the buildings is used as a collector to collect the rain water when it falls.Then it is carried down by pipes and can either be used directly or can be allowed to seep inside the earth, replenishing the ground water level.

2.Road side rain water harvesting:Nowadays a lot of free land is used to make up the roads.So, government has taken steps to collect the rain water that falls on the roads and collect it and then allowed to seep into the ground.

THESE ARE ONLY SOME OF THE WAYS.THERE ARE OTHER MEATHODS TOO.
