AnswEr:-

1 mark reason:-

↦ Because plastic is a bad conductor of heat.

3 mark reason:-

↦ Handles of cooking vessels are made up of plastic to ensure that the heat from the vessel should not transfer to one's hand as plastic is a bad conductor of heat.

5 mark reason:-

↦ Handles of cooking vessels are made up of plastic to ensure that the heat from the vessel should not transfer to one's hand as plastic is a bad conductor of heat. And if the handles of the vessels are made up of any metal then it may result in burning of one's hand as metals are good conductor of heat so when any person would pick up the hot vessel from handle then his/her hand may get burn as the metal handle would also hot along with the vessel and to prevent this the handles of the vessels are usually made up of plastic or covered with a rubber.
