Standard pH of teeth is 5.5 to 7.

If pH of get reduced below 5.5 it leads to tooth decay.

It happens because as we eat food, in mouth the carbohydrates are broken into sugar or starch. This make our mouth sweet. Bacteria feeds on the sugar and releases acid which gives foul smell to the mouth and it leads to tooth decay.

So, it's necessary to brush teeth regularly. Toothpaste contains base which neutralizes the effect of acid and prevent tooth decay.

I hope it will help u buddy.
