A ringing bicycle bell stops producing sound when it hold tightly with hand because our hands doesn't vibrate the bell thus it can't produce sound.

A ringing bicycle bell if held tightly by hand , stops producing sound because sound is only produced when the object vibrates and thus when we hold it tightly , it doesn't vibrate and it doesn't make any sound ....
