C . When copper wire is exposed to moisture it turns dull green in colour due to corrosion . It is so because the metal reacts with moisture and atmospheric gases to form a mixture of copper carbonate and copper hydroxide , which gives a dull green colour to the copper wire .

D. Jewellers mix zinc to silver to have consistently propagated that good silver will always turn black over a period of time . The silver metal reacts with sulphur present in the atmosphere and forms silver sulphide . So , a layer of silver sulphide is formed on the surface of silver articles , so they appear black .
