Give reason : sodium is never found in its free state why?

Because it is extremely reactive. For example, if you expose sodium surface to air, it will react in seconds, if you expose it to water it will cause explosion because reaction releases hydrogen and lots of heat. Because of its high reactivity it does not occur in free state.

Sodium is the most reactive metal and reacts with all elements making bonds and thus , getting combined.
So the reason for it's property of not being in a free state is because of it's reactivity.
