Firstly ,
electronic cofig of these elements,
Na=2,8,1
similarly of,
K=2,8,8,1
and calcium
=2,8,8,2
Here we can see,
Na, K and Ca
these have 1,1and2 electrons in their outer most shell (v. shell)
hence,
as we know H has 1electron in its outer most shell
hence they transfer their electrons just to become stable..
Also,
Ca has two electrons in its outer most shell hence it usually makes Calcium di hydride..
whereas other metals do not have such configuration,,
That's why
most metals do not show this property. ☜☆
