Give reason: to cut vegetable with a sharp knife than with a blunt knife?

we cut vegetable with sharp knife because the sharpness of knife put a pressure on vegetable with his sharp blade and the vegetable easily cut but we can not cut vegetable from blunt knife because it blade did not give pressure so much on vegetable and it did not have sharpness that much from it can cut the vegetable .......

A sharp knife has less surface area than a blunt knife and force is inversely proportional to area means if surface area is less then higher pressure exerted by it so vegetables cut easily
